Man freed from car after crash in Green Lane, Collier Street

A man has been cut free from a car and a woman taken to hospital after a crash.

Fire crews and police were called to Green Lane, Collier Street, to a crash involving four cars.

Two fire engines were sent at around 9am and crews worked to free a man who was trapped inside one of the vehicles.

Specialist rescue equipment was used to remove the car door and the person was treated by paramedics.

Two ambulances were used to transport the patients to Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

An air ambulance was called but was not needed.

Police have remained at the scene, near the Longend Lane junction.

Kent County Council Highways is en route to assist with an oil spillage in the road, caused as a result of the crash.

The road has been closed and drivers should expect delays in the area.
