Kent Police investigate string of robberies in Frittenden, Ashford and Ruckinge

A gang who assaulted a man in his Frittenden home and stole his car after forcing their way in may have gone on to commit two other robberies.

Police are investigating whether the incident, in Digdog Lane, between 10.45pm and 10.58pm on February 9, is linked with robberies in Ashford and Ruckinge over the weekend.

At around 10pm on Saturday, three men smashed a door at a house in Headcorn Road, Biddenden, Ashford. However, the occupants acted quickly and called the police before the men fled the scene.

Nothing was stolen during the incident.

Just a few hours later, at 1.19am on Sunday, a male trio armed with baseball bats tried to break in to a house in Bromley Green Road, Ruckinge. They left empty handed after being disturbed.

PC Michael Kingwell, who is investigating, said: "I am not ruling out the possibility that the incidents are linked and are currently conducting a number of enquiries and examining CCTV and dashcam footage. I would ask anyone who may have information about the robberies or may have seen a red BMW in the area at around the time of the incidents to contact us."

Anyone with information can call the appeal line on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/29650/20.
