Kent Fire and Rescue Service issues warning after caravan blaze in Cranham Square, Marden

The fire service has issued a warning to those who live close to where a caravan caught alight.

Crews were scrambled to the blaze in Cranham Square, Marden, near Tonbridge, just after 1pm.

In total, three engines were sent to the scene and are tackling the flames.

People living nearby have been told to keep their doors and windows closed due to heavy smoke.

Crews, wearing breathing apparatus, are using main jets to extinguish the flames.

The fire service told people to share the information with any loved ones in the area who may be affected but do not have access to the internet.

Crews left the scene after the blaze was extinguished at around 3.30pm.
