Paddock wood fire destroys shed

Firefighters spent the early hours of this morning battling a blaze which destroyed a shed and caused windows to crack.

Kent Fire and Rescue (KFRS) were called at around 1.30am to a fire in a garden at The Bines in Paddock Wood.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene where crews found a shed alight.

Flames had spread to two adjacent garages, causing structural damage and burning the contents.

The shed was completely destroyed in the fire and radiating heat cracked windows.

KFRS gave safety advice to the residents and replaced smoke detectors in one of the homes.

Crews left the scene just before 6am.
