Each time, it is alleged that a man gained entry by smashing glass panels in patio doors or through open windows.

Jewellery, watches, bags, cash, and even WW2 medals were reportedly stolen.

Police officers attended each incident to carry out inquiries, including forensic analysis and a thorough review of available CCTV.

A man was arrested on Wednesday (October 15) in connection with the spate of break-ins.

George Dunn, of Quarry Road in Maidstone, was later charged and remanded with six counts of burglary and several driving offences.

The 42-year-old appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court yesterday (October 16), where he was remanded to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on November 14.
