Suspected drug dealer due at Maidstone Crown Court after being arrested in Goudhurst

A suspected drug dealer is to appear in court after being charged with intent to supply cocaine and heroin.

Officers from the Tunbridge Wells community policing team stopped a car in Rope Walk, Goudhurst, at around 9.45am on Tuesday, January 11.

Suspecting the driver was involved in the supply of drugs, they searched him and his car.

“The constables recovered a packet of cocaine from down the side of the driver’s seat, a mobile phone and a satellite phone," a police spokesman said.

“The suspect was arrested and, when a property was also searched, a quantity of heroin and additional cash was located.”

Sebastian Haggart, of Rope Walk, was later charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of heroin with intent to supply, possession of criminal property, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance.

The 40-year-old was remanded in custody and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 13.

He was remanded and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday, February 10.
