Police appeal for witnesses following alleged bottle attack near fire station in Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood

A man accused of breaking a man’s jaw with a beer bottle is set to spend Christmas in custody.

The attack is reported to have happened along Maidstone Road, in Paddock Wood, near the fire station at around 11pm on Monday, November 25.

The victim was taken to hospital and treated for injuries including a broken jaw.

Nathan Murphy, of no fixed address, was arrested two days later (November 27) and charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The 25-year-old appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody until his next hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday, January 2.
