A village pub is up for sale.
The Walnut Tree in Yalding Hill, Yalding, is on the market with Fleuerts for £495,00, plus vat, for the freehold.
Alternatively, there are options to enter into a rental agreement.
The pub closed last April after the death of entrepreneur David House, who co-owned the business.
Originally a Kentish yeoman’s house, and built in 1492, the timber-framed property offers the buyer a bar and restaurant with 30 covers.
It has terrace seating in the front and a rear gardens.
There is parking for 10 cars.
There is living accommodation on the first floor, plus two rooms in the attic space.
The property is Grade II listed and lies within the Yalding Conservation Area.
Mr House also owned the Chequers Inn, in Aylesford, and the Amherst Inn in Seal, near Sevenoaks. He died on Friday, February 9, last year, after a battle with cancer.
Fleurets is hosting an open hour for would-be buyers this Thursday (January 30), between 9.30am and 10.30am.
With the Walnut Tree closed, The Boathouse in Hampstead Lane is the village’s sole remaining pub.
