A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after crashing her vehicle into a tree.

The accident happened at about 10.50pm last night in Horsmonden, Tonbridge.

Officers were called to Grovehurst Lane, at the junction with Goudhurst Road and found the woman's black Mitsubishi Outlander had left the road an hit a tree.

Officers from the serious collision investigation unit are investigating the cause of the crash and are appealing for anyone who saw it or has dashcam footage to contact them.

The driver is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
