Grandmother Amanda Guile who died in crash on A21 near Lamberhurst remembered as 'strong, beautiful, caring woman'

A grandmother who died in a crash on the A21 has been remembered by her family as a "strong, beautiful, caring woman".

Amanda Guile, known as Mandy, was driving a silver Vauxhall Corsa at around 3.45pm on Sunday, January 27 when it collided with a white Range Rover Evoque.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene near Lamberhurst and Mrs Guile was later pronounced dead in hospital.

The 57-year-old, who was from the Flimwell area, leaves four children and three grandchildren.

Relatives said in a statement: "Words cannot describe how we are all feeling as a family.

"Sadly, Mandy Guile, our beloved wife, mother and nanny was involved in a car accident and sadly lost her life.

"As a family we are thankful and comforted by the kind words, messages and cards we have received about our wonderful, gorgeous, fun loving mum.

"Mandy loved all her friends and family unconditionally and could never do enough for anyone.

"She was a strong, beautiful, caring woman. We all love you dearly Mandy and you are missed by all.

"Always Loved, Never forgotten, Forever Missed."

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the craash, which happened close to the junction with Church Road.

Witnesses or those with dash cam footage, who have yet to contact police, are asked to call the appeals line on 01622 798538 quoting reference number RY/SM/020/19.
