Folkestone Book Festival

10 days of author talks.
Folkestone Book Festival returns 15-24 November, with 10 days of author talks, thought-provoking discussions, engaging family events and fascinating workshops. Entitled The Shape of Things to Come, this year’s book festival draws inspiration from the philosophy and spirit of H G Wells, who lived and wrote in Folkestone.

The festival launches on Friday 15 November to coincide with the annual Creative Quarter Christmas lights switch-on, and this year’s festivities will be led by Booker Prize-winning author Ben Okri.

The line-up includes Caroline Lucas, Lindsey Hilsum, Carrie Gracie, Lemn Sissay, Tim Waterstone, Paul Schrader, Elif Shafak, Richard Dawkins, Imogen Stubbs, Alex Jennings and Greta Scacchi.
