The V2 and Marden
Having excavated the site of a WWII V2 rocket near Marden, Colin and Sean Welch are returning to present their findings with a talk and video.
Recently, Colin and Sean Welch undertook the excavation of a V2 rocket which locals of a certain age were aware had fallen and exploded in Chainhurst near the end of WWII. Having collated all of the details, Colin and Sean are returning to Marden to give a talk on their discoveries, both of the Marden V2 and other V-weapons which they have investigated throughout the South East of England. The brothers will also present a film plotting every recorded impact of these terrifying bombs. All are cordially invited to this unique experience at Marden Primary School Hall at 7.00pm on Thursday 21st November 2019. No being charge is made for entry but, to assist with the Welch brothers travel expenses and to support the work of the Heritage Centre, any donations would be gratefully received.
