Canterbury Christ Church Lunchtime Concert: Open Water

Open Water are an acoustic trio steeped in the British folk tradition with influences of Celtic and American bluegrass.
Joanne Doolan’s unique vocals emanate from her Welsh musical roots. Guitars and other stringed instruments are played by Jeff Alexander and Richard Rozze. Jeff’s influences come from traditions as varied as the Renaissance lute and flamenco guitar. Richard’s influences stem from rock, blues and jazz traditions. With refined vocal harmonies, Open Water create original music, taking folk music in new directions.

All Canterbury Christ Church Lunchtime Concerts begin at 1pm and are free entry. Live audience numbers are limited and tickets must be booked in advance. The event will also be live-streamed. Children aged five and over are welcome if accompanied by a responsible adult.

All the concerts feature introductory ‘listening guides’ prepared by the performers and will be followed by a brief opportunity to discuss the work afterwards. There will be a collection for the Student Scholarship Fund. Car parking at St Gregory’s is for CCCU staff only until 5pm.
