To celebrate the return of live, choral singing to Medway, Rochester Choral Society presents a Sing and Discover Workshop, directed by Judy Martin (Director of Music at Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin). Sing and Discover workshops are for choral singers and music-lovers who wish to broaden their range, extend their experience and increase their knowledge of style and context - and who enjoy a challenge! You are welcome to join the singing or just come to listen and immerse yourself all morning in Handel's gloriously life-affirming oratorio, the Messiah. Please book online or by email and bring your own score if you have one - we will be using the New Novello edition edited by Watkins Shaw. A limited number of scores will be available to borrow on the day at no extra cost. Please bring your own refreshments. Attendees will need to take a lateral flow test within 24 hours before the event and wear a filtering face-mask if not fully vaccinated.
