Drawing was central to O’Keeffe’s practice. Often adapted into paintings, she used drawing as a language to evoke important moments and emotions – the curve of a flower petal, the horizon of a desert landscape, the wave of one’s hair or the flow of a winding road. The exhibition is enhanced with artworks created in response by local community groups who have been working with artist Colette Whittington.
A Hayward Gallery Touring exhibition from Southbank Centre, London.
