Christmas Tree Festival: To start the celebrations for the 900th anniversary of the church 25 trees decorated by local & national charities will be displayed from 10am to 4pm Tuesday, December 7 and Wednesday, December 8 & 3pm to 7pm Thursday, December 9 and Friday, December 10. Christmas Fair:Ten charities will be displaying and selling cards, toys etc. in the Church Centre. These include Guide Dogs for the Blind, Canine Partners, Young Lives, Marie Curie and others. The Christmas Tree Festival will also be open, 10am to 4pm Saturday, December 11. Charity Concert: Rufus Clews on violin and the Orpheus Performers (a charity set up by Sir Richard Stilgoe) on Saturday, December 11, at 7pm. Book £12 tickets in advance (includes mulled wine, soft drinks & mince pies in the interval.) Proceeds to be shared between the Orpheus Trust & designated St. Peter’s Church charities.
