Photographic Exhibition of the Medway Universities Campus

Join is us to explore the past in pictures. This photographic exhibition explores the history and use of the Medway Campus from 1906 to the present day.
This photographic exhibition explores the changing character of the buildings and the people who worked in the space now occupied by the Universities of Medway by blending pictures from the past (as far back as 1906) when the buildings were only three years old (and then part of the Royal Navy which was at that time the most powerful navy in the world), and today as a centre of world class education and research (University of Greenwich Medway Campus shared with all three Universities at Medway).

The Royal Navy, as HMS Pembroke, had an important cultural and economic impact on the Medway Towns over many decades. The Medway Universities who now occupy the same space, continue the tradition with world class international research and teaching.

The exhibition comprises photographic works and artistic interpretations by Emeritus Professor Keith Tomlins (Natural Resources Institute, University of Greenwich) who is also a local photographer and artist.
