All you need to do is type the online booking code, CHRISTMAS2018, into the box at www.hotels-amiens.com on the bottom of the screen reading “You can now benefit from special rates for the ‘Christmas 2018’ congress, which runs from 23/11/2018 to 04/01/2019”.

You will then be directed to another page where you will be eligible for discounts at over 20 hotels in and around Amiens.

The overnight packages are being offered to UK residents only by The Club Hotelier Association - a group of 25 Hoteliers in and around Amiens.

They include double rooms, on a bed & breakfast basis, for two people as well as nightly rates per room start from £43 (€49) in a two-star hotel, £52 (€59) for a three-star and £69.50 (€79) for a four-star hotel.

A total of 130 Christmas stalls offer a fantastic choice of local and regional food and gifts, ranging from clothes, puppets, toys, gifts and decorations to delicious food, sweets and drinks.

Local artisans will be offering beautifully crafted gifts, including leather goods, jewellery, cashmere scarves, figurines, candles and ornaments.

The stalls are open every day week from 10.30am to 7pm (except Mondays which is open from 2pm- 7pm). The stalls are open until 9pm on Saturdays.

Those who love ice skating can visit the city’s huge ice rink. Admission is free and open between 11am to 7.30pm except on Mondays when it opens at 2pm.

And there’s another Christmas wow factor.

Other must-see visits include the North Pole animated displays that are open between 10am and 8pm while the big wheel ride offers the chance for an amazing view of the city.
