Those who wish to show off their classic cars will be guided onto the castle’s vibrant lawn, where they can park up for a day of motors and memorabilia.

The car show takes place on National Drive It Day, which encourages classic car and bike enthusiasts to come together in support of a charity - this year, the event will be raising money for Childline.

On the day, visitors can purchase official 2022 Rally Plates, among other things, to help raise funds for the NSPCC service. There is also a Just Giving page set up online for those who wish to donate ahead of time.

Organisers are also encouraging visitors to share photos of their cars at the show on social media with the hashtags #driveitdaychiddingstonecastle and #driveitdaychildline to help raise awareness.

During the day, visitors can wander the beautiful grounds and explore the lake and woodlands, discover the intriguing collections inside the house, enjoy afternoon tea in the tea rooms and join the live jazz band in the Orangery.

The car show takes place at Chiddingstone Castle on Sunday, April 24 from 11am to 4pm. Admission costs £10 for drivers and £8.50 for passengers. Book online here.
