Kent Beer Festival at new venue Canterbury Rugby Club

There will be more than 200 real ales and ciders at a beer festival heading to a new home.

The Kent Beer Festival had been forced to find a new home earlier this year and secured one thanks to the intervention of the Canterbury Rugby Club.

The three-day festival will take place at the club’s Merton Lane headquarters from Thursday, July 19 to Saturday, July 21, after previously being held at nearby Merton Farm.

There will be more than 200 ciders, perries and real ales, as well as good local food and live entertainment. There will also be wine available for those fancying something different, plus food to tickle a range of tastebuds. The multi-talented Juggle It All will be providing family-friendly entertainment on the Saturday as will the Wantsum Morris Dancers. Breezers Blues Band and Ratzkins will play the Thursday, with Gypskazz and the Cassettes playing on the Friday. Stringendo and Biggin Hillbillies play on the Saturday. There will also be camping available, though it has not been organised by the Kent Beer Festival.
