When, where and what’s on at the Kent County Show 2025

It’s almost that time of year and, with only four weeks left to go, the countdown to this year’s Kent County Show is officially on.

The three-day celebration of farming, food and rural living is back at the Kent Showground in Detling with a packed programme of family events that you won’t want to miss.

It’s a staple of the county’s summer calendar, with everything from local food producers and stunning floral displays to dog agility courses and sheep shearing demonstrations.

The weekender will showcase the very best of Kent’s agricultural industry and, as always, the animals are the stars of the show.

There will be hundreds of cows, sheep and goats competing to take home the Best in Show prize and the Equine Village will be full of spectacular showjumping and a chance to meet the horses.

Visitors can gather at the Astor Ring to watch the Grand Parade of Livestock, where all of the winners will be adorned with rosettes, and see the unmissable display from Joseph’s Amazing Camels. You can even get up close and say hello to the camels after the show.

Four-legged friends don’t have to miss out on the fun either, as dogs from all walks of life will be diving into the K9 Aqua Sports and showing off their skills in the agility demonstrations.

While the animals do take centre stage, that’s not all the show has to offer across its three days.

Garden Life, located inside the Maidstone Exhibition Hall, features an eye-catching display of colourful plants and flowers, while the Heritage Area showcases a collection of classic cars lovingly preserved by vehicle enthusiasts.

The Countryside Village will bring together business owners from across Kent to talk about the farming industry and the Woodland Area gives visitors a taste of outdoor pursuits and traditional crafts, such as clay pigeon shooting and archery.

This year, there will be a brand new food festival with artisan producers and global cuisine, alongside live music, market stalls, bars and more.
