The society which puts on the biggest agricultural event in the county has a new man at its helm.

The Kent County Agricultural Society, which organises the annual Kent County Show, has welcomed James Forknall as its new chairman, after Kevin Attwood finished his six years in the post.

Mr Forknall, whose family has farmed in Kent since 1953, had previously been society vice-chairman, as well as chairman for the Maidstone NFU branch and the Weald of Kent Ploughing Match.
