Davina McCall to host International Women’s Day talk at Hemsted Park in Cranbrook

TV presenter Davina McCall is celebrating womanhood with a talk on everything from health and fitness to tackling the menopause.

The Masked Singer judge, who lives in Tunbridge Wells, is hosting a talk on International Women’s Day where fans can get an insight into her 30-year career.

The 57-year-old is coming to Cranbrook to share her journey in the spotlight, which began with hosting jobs on shows such as Streetmate and God's Gift.

Davina, who was born in London but now lives in Kent with her partner Michael Douglas, became a household name when she started presenting Channel 4 reality show Big Brother in 2000.

Since then, she has been the face of successful TV programmes including the Million Pound Drop, Got to Dance, The Jump, My Mum Your Dad and Long Lost Family.

Off-screen, the mum-of-three has been a pioneering figure when it comes to raising awareness about menopause.

She has published an award-winning book, Menopausing, and presented the documentary Davina McCall: Sex, Myths and the Menopause to encourage people to be more open and understanding about menopausal symptoms.

Davina is also known for her love of health and fitness. She has released 14 workout DVDs and is a keen advocate of the sugar-free diet, having written two books on the subject.

International Women’s Day, which falls on Saturday, March 8, is an annual date that shines a spotlight on issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights and violence against women.

It also celebrates the accomplishments of women throughout history and the activism that has seen society move towards gender equality over the past century.
