Boozehound, moi? This petite pooch will be pleased to hear that a popular drinks festival is returning this weekend.
Kia was among hundreds of cider and beer lovers that flocked to the Maidstone CAMRA East Malling Beer and Cider Festival last year and now the event is back.
It will take place on Saturday, September 6 and will showcase more than 75 real ales and at least 25 ciders and perries from the local area.
The one-day event is being organised and staffed by volunteer members of the Maidstone and Mid-Kent Branch of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale.
Now in its fifth year, it is again taking place in the grounds of East Malling Research, the horticultural research station.
Organiser Ian Clennett said: “Each year, we’ve fine-tuned what has proved to be a winning
formula and can promise an even better event this year.”
The festival also features food, live music and family entertainment.
Admission to the day, which runs from 11am until 7pm, costs £4 or £2 to card-carrying CAMRA members. A free festival shuttle bus service will run every 30 minutes from Aylesford and West Malling stations.
