To recognise the important work of Kent charities, including their volunteers and trustees, the awards can help to provide positive exposure, increase stakeholder funding and boost staff morale.

“The Kent Charity Awards are already a great celebration of the work of the charity sector within our local communities, be it on a county basis or more locally,” says head judge Susan Robinson. “Charities have had a challenging two years, and there may be more to come; the need for their services is increasing against a background of reduced income.”

The Kent Charity Awards were set up in 2015 and have since handed out a number of annual accolades, including Volunteer of the Year and Trustee of the Year.

“The judges are looking forward to receiving entries reflecting the varied and important work that charities do,” adds Susan, who is also a partner at Kreston Reeves. “We are all proud to be sponsors of these great local awards.”

The awards are supported by Kreston Reeves, Kent County Council, Medway Council, CC Works, Kent Community Foundation, AMEY, CAF Bank, Financial Advice and Services, the KM Group, Brachers and A-Plan Insurance.
