Mouthwatering delicacies from around the world will be vying for your tastebuds’ attention this weekend.
The Deal Food & Drink Festival returns for a third year to the seaside town from Friday, September 6 to Sunday, September 8.
Hosted by Zoom Events, the free event has become a firm favourite in the local calendar and promises to be its biggest yet this year.
Visitors will be treated to an array of local, national and international stalls selling street foods from around the world, artisan grocery products and beverages together with an arts and crafts section.
Situated next to 16th century Deal Castle by the sea, the festival is a short stroll along the promenade from the town centre.
Alongside the food and drink, there will be a range of entertainment for the whole family including children’s rides and slides.
A live music stage will see a line-up of artists including Ian Fox, Harripaul and Luna Blues performing across a range of genres, whilst the Famous Last Stand bar will be serving a selection of craft beers, cider, wine, gin and plenty of fizz.
Paul Kennedy Zoom Events director said: “We are delighted to be returning to Deal where our Food & Drink Festival receives such a warm welcome from locals and tourists alike.
“Our event will bring an enormous selection of delicious food and a wealth of family friendly entertainment to this picturesque coastal town.”
Visitors can enjoy fresh, handmade street foods including mouthwatering pork or chicken souvlaki, burgers with homemade toppings, wood fired pizza, authentic Thai delicacies, sweet and savoury crepes and arepas with chicken, pork or vegetarian options.
Homemade groceries will be available for tasting so you can enjoy on site or take home to enjoy later.
This year’s treats will include award winning flavoured waxed cheese truckles, novelty cakes and freshly baked bread, pastries and savoury goods.
The festival is open on the Friday from noon to 6pm; from 10am to 7pm on the Saturday and 11am to 6pm on the Sunday.
