Tonbridge: Free music summer concerts at weekends on the castle lawn

A series of free summer concerts will launch on the Bailey Lawn at Tonbridge Castle starting this weekend.

The concerts by a mixture of amateur and professional bands, have been organised by Tonbridge & Malling council and will be held on Sunday afternoons between 3pm and 5pm.

There are no tickets to be booked - just turn up on the day and enjoy the music.

The first, on Sunday, July 29 will be the Jon Hamilton Big Band. They will be followed by the Second Wind Concert Band on Sunday, August 5 and the Invicta Jazz Orchestra on Sunday, August 12. On Sunday, September 2 Sevenoaks and Tonbridge Concert Band will play.

The Hildenborough Women’s Institute will also be selling cakes alongside Mochafella’s tea and coffee, or just bring a picnic.
