Spring may be just around the corner but there’s still time to raise a glass to winter, with the first of the year’s beer festivals.

The Berry in Canada Road, Walmer, near Deal, will hold its 12th Winter Ales Festival on Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 16.

Celebrating real ales, KeyKeg ales, cider and gins from around the county, the weekend will also feature the Talking Books Duo, who perform surprising covers, at 8.30pm on the Saturday.

Bringing regulars back year on year, the county has many staples returning for ale fans to get in their diaries.

Coming up in April will be the 14th Thanet Easter Beer and Cider Festival, which is held at Margate Winter Gardens, on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20.

On Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15, it’ll be all aboard for the annual Kent and East Sussex Railway Beer Festival, which sees festivities at Tenterden’s Steam Railway, with live bands and morris dancing throughout the weekend as the sunshine and the liquid refreshment flows.

The Kent Beer Festival returns to Canterbury Rugby Club in Nackington Road from Thursday, July 18 to Saturday, July 20, featuring more than 200 real ales and ciders, as well as live entertainment, local food and children’s entertainment on the Saturday.

Always attracting thousands to the East Malling Research Centre in New Road, the East Malling Beer Festival returns on Saturday, September 7.

Last year’s ninth annual outing saw drinkers enjoy some 80 different real ales, many brewed locally, 37 varied ciders and perries, as well as live music.

You’ll be able to sample up to 50 varieties of locally-brewed ales and ciders while taking in the live music programme at Kent Life in Maidstone when the Hops n’ Harvest Festival returns on Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8.

And celebrating the hops harvest, the Faversham Hop Festival brings Faversham to a standstill as we approach autumn, as thousands gather to celebrate in the streets and the pubs around. This year’s festival will be held on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1.
