One of the biggest blockbusters of the 1990s is being resurrected for the stage.
Ghost the Musical, based on the Academy Award-winning film, is bringing this timeless love story back from the afterlife for a nationwide tour, including stints at two Kent theatres.
The show follows the romance between Sam and his girlfriend, Molly, who is left heartbroken when Sam is murdered by a mugger on the walk back to their Manhattan apartment.
When Sam realises he has died and is somehow stuck between the world of the living and the dead, he enlists the help of a psychic medium to communicate with Molly and keep her safe.
The stage production is adapted from the 1990 film starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg.
Ghost, which was directed by Airplane’s Jerry Zucker, became the highest-grossing film of the year and won two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actress and Best Screenplay.
Fans of the movie will recognise the Righteous Brothers' hit, Unchained Melody, in the musical, alongside a score of original songs written by Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart.
Ghost the Musical will be at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley from Wednesday, January 22 to Saturday, January 25. You can book tickets online here.
The show will also visit the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury from Tuesday, February 18 to Saturday, February 22. Tickets can be booked here.
