The giant anteaters in Kent used their tongues and impressive talons to get stuck into a large carved pumpkin, complete with tasty worms inside.

Animal director Adrian Harland said: "As Halloween is just around the corner, we decided to offer a variety of our animals some themed treats as part of our important enrichment programme, which is designed to encourage mental, physical and sensory perception."

The animals will be enjoying them throughout half term this week.
