Hair the Musical starring Jake Quickenden brings 50th anniversary show to Dartford

It’s 50 years since the world was first introduced to Hair - The Musical.

Winner of the 2018 WhatsOnStage Award, the exuberant 50th anniversary production of the legendary rock musical is setting out on a major UK regional tour this year, fresh from its sell-out London run earlier this year.

The story is set in 1967 and Hair’s hippie ‘tribe’ of youngsters in the East Village of New York are yearning to change the world, questioning authority and the American flag. Wild, colourful, sexually liberated and free, they are united in protest and song, under the shadow of the Vietnam War.

Adored for its Grammy award winning score featuring iconic hits such as Aquarius, Let the Sunshine In, I Got Life and Good Morning Starshine, the show aims to have you celebrating life, freedom and

equality.

Written by Gerome Ragni and James Rado - who together wrote the book and lyrics - and Galt MacDermot, who wrote the music, it entices audiences to come and join the tribe and relive the summer of love.

The dazzling 50th anniversary production of Hair is set to burst onto the Kent stage in all its full psychedelic glory.
