CheeseFest UK is coming to Maidstone and will celebrate 30 years of Wallace & Gromit

A festival dedicated to celebrating cheese will also mark 30 years of Wallace & Gromit when it returns to the county this year.

CheeseFest UK was staged for the first time at the Kent Event Centre at Detling near Maidstone, last summer and will return to the same venue on Saturday, June 22.

This year it will be devoted to celebrating 30 years of the Aardman characters Wallace & Gromit - also big cheese lovers - including the chance to meet them on the day.

The grand day out will feature film screenings of the pair's movies, the chance to meet them, model making and life size vehicles.

Also on offer will be cheese-based cuisine from some of the finest fromagers in the country, from gooey mozzarella sticks to top notch toasties and cheese innovations.
