A Kent nightclub is putting on a daytime event for the older generation of party-goers.
Tokyo Tea Rooms, a late-night cocktail bar in Canterbury, is throwing a club ‘night’ for people who want to get home while the trains are still running - but you have to be at least in the millennial age bracket to join in the fun.
Bed Before Dark is billed as ‘daytime clubbing for the over 30s’ and starts at 3pm, rather than the venue’s usual opening time of 10pm.
The event will have DJs playing throwback floor-fillers from the ‘80s, ‘90s and ‘00s.
There will also be live entertainers and VIP booths available to book.
It all wraps up by 8pm, so you can still get the train home and be in bed with a cup of tea before the end of Casualty.
You can also book a package that includes a bottle of premium spirit, such as vodka or gin, along with mixers and a table for up to six people.
Tokyo Tea Rooms’ Bed Before Dark event takes place on Saturday, August 3.
You can book tickets online here.
The bar, located on St George’s Place next to the Odeon cinema, combines Japanese aesthetics with live cabaret with unique cocktails, often created by guest mixologists.
It’s also known for its weekly indie rock-themed night, playing hits by the likes of Sam Fender, The 1975, Arctic Monkeys and Paramore every Thursday.
