Movie star and musician Kiefer Sutherland and the daughter of legendary country artist Glen Campbell are to join the line-up for a brand new Americana festival being held in Kent this summer.
Black Deer, which will be held at Eridge Park near Tunbridge Wells in June, has also announced former Kent student Sam Palladio - now starring in the TV hit Nashville as Gunnar Scott - will also be performing.
Star of films including The Lost Boys and Flatliners and the TV show 24, Kiefer Sutherland will be bringing his band and music to the festival.
Ashley Campbell, whose country legend father Glen died last year, will be bringing her banjo when she plays at the festival, fresh from her first album The Lonely One, being released, while Sam Palladio studied music in Kent.
They will be joined by local talent The Webb Sisters and the Wandering Hearts, whose album, Wild Silence, has been tipped for the top.
Ashley, who said she was really looking forward to Black Deer, embarked on her own solo career after joining her father on his farewell tour.
Sam, 31, studied music in Sidcup.Movie star Kiefer's journey in the music industry started after a collaboration with a friend ended in the release of his 2016 album Down In A Hole.
The album tracks come from his personal experiences and are said to be “the closest thing I’ve ever had to a journal or diary”.
The three join already announced stars including Iron & Wine, Passenger, Ward Thomas and double Grammy and AMA UK award winner Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit in a UK festival exclusive.
Festival promoter Gill Tee, who has been in the music industry for many years, said: "We're so excited about the line-up for this, our inaugural festival. It's really causing great ripples across the music industry. When people come to Black Deer they are going to have a fantastic weekend of world class music, great food and the nearest taste of Americana this side of Nashville and Tennessee."
"Set in a beautiful part of the world, that I know and love, with a genre of music that holds so many memories for me, is really exciting as well as extremely challenging."
Americana and country festival Black Deer is not only a music lover’s festival but also a place where people can come to meet, make new acquaintances and immerse themselves in a variety of counter cultures.
