Lau Unplugged

On Wednesday 23 February, Lau take to the Quarterhouse stage. For the first time in over a decade, this pioneering Scottish folk trio present a stripped-back tour, 'Unplugged'.

Four-time winners of BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards’ Best Group and named ‘the UK's best live band’ by the Guardian, Lau are regarded as the epicentre of the new folk boom.

They are known for experimenting with a myriad of musical styles, but 2022’s ‘Unplugged’ concert sees the group strip away their banks of electronics, loops and wild effects in favour of a more raw and plain-speaking aesthetic. This approach is subtler – less about spectacle and more about close listening.
