Shepherd Neame stages Live and Unlocked live music in place of Faversham Hop Festival

The streets of Faversham town should have been filled with festival fun celebrating the hop fields surrounding it this weekend.

Despite the cancellation of this year’s Faversham Hop Festival due to the pandemic, local brewer Shepherd Neame is putting on some live events so locals and visitors can still enjoy a taste of celebrations.

It will be hosting live music at its pubs in the town on the dates it would have been held.

From Friday, September 3 to Sunday, September 5, pubs including the Anchor Inn, The Limes, the Bull

Inn, the Bear Inn, the Market Inn and the Railway Hotel will all be staging live music acts.

Late Red, Shepherd Neame’s signature autumn ale, will also be hitting the bars in time for the festival.

Caroline Williams from the brewer said: “It is the second year that Faversham has been unable to hold its famous Hop Festival due to the impact of Covid, so we wanted to do something to support the town. We hope that people will come along, support their favourite Faversham pubs and enjoy a seasonal pint. We look forward to welcoming some familiar faces.”
