The castle is teaming up with the British Cactus and Succulent Society for the event, which runs from 11am and 5pm both days.

There will be a cactus show with stunning specimens, plants for sale from leading nurseries, stalls and children’s attractions, as well as authentic Mexican food and music from a Mariachi band.

Tom Hart Dyke, the patron of the BCSS society, who lives at Lullingstone, will lead two guided tours of the World Garden including Mexico and the cacti hot houses at 12.30pm and 2.30pm.

Both days will feature displays of plants, expert talks and celebrity guests, practical demonstrations and plant sales specialist nurseries, plus free family entertainment including face-painting, foam-clay and balloon animals.

Tom will be joined by celebrity guests which include BBC gardening presenter Anne Swithinbank, who will be holding a an Audience With on both days, and houseplant writer and blogger Jane Perrone, who will also be recording her popular On the Ledge show live.
