My Kent Big Weekend taking place March 21 and 22 part of English Tourism Week

If you were lucky enough to snaffle My Kent Big Weekend tickets then, whatever you do, don’t forget to use them!

That is the message kick-starting Visit Kent’s countywide event this weekend, which supplied 20,000 free tickets to Kent attractions to mark the close of English Tourism Week.

More than 103,000 entries were received for the tickets before the February closing date and this Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22, is the time for lucky winners to use their passes for more than 115 attractions across Kent.

These include historic sites such as Canterbury Roman Museum, Upnor Castle in Medway, Dickens House Museum in Broadstairs, and Willesborough Windmill, near Ashford; beauty spots like Barton’s Point Coastal Park near Sheerness, or Samphire Hoe near Dover; sporty venues such as Cyclopark near Gravesend, or Action Watersports near Lydd, and other interesting places such as Biddenden Vineyards and Sittingbourne Steam Railway.

Sandra Matthews-Marsh of Visit Kent said: “My Kent Big Weekend has become hugely important in showcasing the county’s amazing array of visitor attractions and activities to local people, who are then able to recommend the great places on their doorstep to friends and relatives when they visit.”

All tickets for this weekend have been allocated.
