Emmy-nominated actor Nick Mohammed is going back to his comedy roots with a return to his alter-ego, Mr Swallow.
The Ted Lasso star is back on stage as the hapless magician in his latest solo tour, Show Pony, which is stopping off in Canterbury for one night only.
The show will see Nick, as Mr Swallow, trying out a whole new series of tricks on audiences up and down the country, with plenty of mistakes and mishaps in store.
The TV star became known to audiences all over the world when he appeared as kitman-turned-coach Nathan Shelley in football comedy-drama Ted Lasso.
He received two Emmy nominations for the role. He has also worked on the Sky One sitcom Intelligence alongside David Schwimmer and competed in the 17th series of Taskmaster.
However, before he became a familiar face on our TV screens, the comedian has performed as the chaotic magician and musician Mr Swallow for many years.
His second self has performed at multiple Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, appeared on panel shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and presented an award at the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards.
More recently, his character appeared as a guest on Amazon Prime’s Last One Laughing UK, which featured a string of comedians such as Rob Beckett, Bob Mortimer, Lou Sanders, Joe Lycett, Sara Pascoe and Richard Ayoade.
Nick has also been announced as one of the famous faces set to appear in the first series of Celebrity Traitors, a star-studded version of the popular BBC show coming later this year, alongside the likes of Alan Carr, Clare Balding, Kate Garraway, Celia Imrie, Tom Daley and Stephen Fry.
Show Pony comes to the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury on Sunday, June 1. You can book tickets online here.
