Wards Children's Awards launches search for Outstanding Teacher for Disabled Children

A new category has been added to Kent's Children's Awards this year and we're asking families for help in finding a very deserving winner.

Alongside a search for determined and incredible children who deserve recognition, we're keen to give an award this year to an Outstanding Teacher for Disabled Children.

There is no doubt that the last year has been challenging for all, with a significant amount of pressure placed on schools and teaching staff throughout the pandemic.

An exceptional level of work has also gone into bringing children back into schools and classrooms, which could not have happened without the commitment of those who work in schools.

We know there are teachers across Kent who are going above and beyond each and every day for their pupils, their families and for colleagues and we'd like you to tell us about them.

If you're aware of a dedicated member of teaching staff who is working tirelessly for a child in their care this is the perfect opportunity to have their hard work recognised.

We welcome nominations from pupils' families, colleagues, friends, or any other associated organisations who believe the work of a particular teacher they know should not be going unnoticed.

The deadline for nominations isn't until the end of June

Not only will the winner's talents be recognised countywide but they will also be invited to a fantastic awards ceremony later this year which is always an occasion to remember.

Whilst it's not a category we have included in the Children's Awards before we believe it will be a huge success and we are confident our judging panel will find themselves inundated with nominations for teachers countywide.

Telling us about a teacher you know is a very quick and easy process.

Simply visit our online nomination page www.kentonline.co.uk/wardsawards and fill in the details.
