Medway grime artist knocks it clean out of the park

The third offering from rapper and grime artist JDefianT sees him keeping things as real as ever.

Track titles like Tryna Get Through, Self-Sufficient, Can’t Buy It, and World For What It Is offer an insight into the fuel that keeps giving fire to this heavily autobiographical and observational artist.

His latest EP, Far From Famous, was released last month and sees the Gillingham artist - real name Jack Dodd - in blistering form, spitting volumes of hard-hitting bars (that’s lyrics for those new to Grime).

It’s already won rave reviews from websites like threethousand.co.uk, which featured Can’t Buy It in its top 10 tracks of October, while the blog onceuponagrime.com praised the writing, production and vision of the EP, adding “Whilst being an artist who frequently spits his reality, it’s easily accepted this tape contains a good amount of substance throughout its bars.”

This year’s seen JDefianT’s star continue to rise with appearances on a host of radio shows. He’s even invited to the renowned “Rinse FM” by the legendary Grime MC Sharky Major, and was voted artist of the week on Radar Radio.
