Maidstone Mote Park Photographic Competition 2018 winners announced

The gently changing seasons and the wildlife that make it their home have all been captured by park users with an eye for an image.

The annual Mote Park Photographic Competition features dozens of photos snapped by people who love their local park, Mote Park in Maidstone.

Throughout the year, the entries are whittled down each month in a contest on the Mote Park Facebook group, before a judging panel chooses the final three best images of the year.

This year, the judges picked a striking photo of standing deadwood by Rob Swan for him to claim the Seasons category of the contest.

A cheeky close-up of a characterful swan won Kristian Weeks the top prize in the wildlife category.

The judges took some time deliberating over the 12 finalists in each category to decide the winners.
