Grab your Union Jack flag and raise a glass of Pimms as a proms-style concert returns to a historic Kent location.
The Leeds Castle Concert is a huge classical show in the grounds of the picturesque castle, just outside Maidstone, that boasts world-class music from top orchestras, choirs, and soloists.
This year, crowds can gather on the lawns to watch the likes of West End singer Elesha Paul Moses, British baritone James Cleverton, Broadway star Tim Howar and Mexican tenor Jesus Leon.
There will also be a show-stopping performance by the London International Gospel Choir, one of the city’s largest open community choirs.
The group has performed at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the O2 Arena and has sung alongside big-name artists including Take That and Hugh Jackman.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will also be returning to the concert for another rousing performance.
The renowned orchestra, led by conductor John Rigby, will play a mix of classics and contemporary hits.
There will also be a thrilling Spitfire show and a spectacular fireworks display to round off the evening.
Visitors can bring their own food and drink to the event, as well as foldable tables, chairs and picnic blankets. However, there will also be food stalls and bars available on the day to purchase refreshments.
You can also pre-book a picnic hamper which includes snacks such as pâté, mini pies, cheeses, crackers, salads and sweet treats. There’s a vegetarian option available too, with quiche, vegan rolls and chickpea-coated Scotch eggs.
Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion, with an optional Best of British dress code advised on the website, but there are no strict rules in place if you prefer to wear something more casual.
The Leeds Castle Concert takes place on Saturday, July 12. You can book tickets here.
Standard tickets cost £64. Seated tickets have already sold out for this year’s event.
