Folkestone Puppet Festival to be held for the first time

Puppets tell stories in ways no else can, sprinkled with magic and wonder.

That's what organisers of Folkestone's first puppet festival, which celebrates puppets and the art of puppetry, believe.

They are holding a day of open air puppetry for adults and children alike at Folkestone Harbour Station on Sunday, August 12, so everyone can get a taste of their magic.

Running from 11am to 5.30pm, there will be puppet theatre that aims to entertain, inspire and challenge.

The harbour station will house the main stage, with the harbour viaduct and arm providing chance encounters with giant puppets and street performers.
