Leeds Castle Open Air Classical Summer Concert 2015 will be opened by the Definitive Rat Pack

TheDefinitive Rat Packwill open the Leeds Castle Open Air Classical Summer Concert next year.

Best known as the original cast members of The Rat Pack: Live from Las Vegas, they wowed audiences in London’s West End and on international tours including the USA and Canada, and epitomised cool in the 1960s.

The Definitive Rat Pack have now created their own, more personal show, and members Stephen Triffit, Mark Adams and George Daniel Long - who are undoubtedly among the world’s finest interpreters of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr - will open the Kent outdoor concert on on Saturday, July 11, 2015.

Their songs include I’ve Got You Under My Skin, Fly Me to the Moon, One for My Baby, That’s Amore, King of the Road, Everybody Loves Somebody, Mr Bojangles, Come Back to Me, What Kind of Fool Am I, The Lady Is a Tramp, Mack the Knife, That’s Life, New York, New York and many more.

The Open Air Classical Concert at Leeds Castle is a firm favourite for concert go-ers each summer, who go along to enjoy an evening of flag-waving with a traditional British picnic, while being entertained by performances from a huge concert stage set against the backdrop of 'the loveliest castle in the world'.

The traditional classical orchestral programme is interwoven with specially-selected choral and solo pieces and the music is enhanced by the visual spectacle of military musicians, field guns, superb fireworks and iconic aircraft displays.

Concert organisers Heritage Events said:“We pride ourselves on the range and quality of the programme at the Open Air Summer Concert and are absolutely delighted that The Definitive Rat Pack with open next year’s show with their iconic sounds of the 1960s.
