Two of the biggest indie bands of the 2000s are joining forces for a co-headline show on the Kent coast.
Razorlight and The Wombats will both take to Dreamland’s Scenic Stage as part of the Margate Summer Series later this year.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 7 at 10am. You can book online here.
Razorlight found fame with a string of hits released in the noughties, including UK Top 10 singles America, In the Morning and Somewhere Else.
The band split in 2014 but have since reunited and released their most recent album, Planet Nowhere, in 2024.
Frontman Johnny Borrell, who has been the only permanent member since the band’s formation in 2002, will be joined on stage by bandmates Björn Ågren, Carl Dalemo and Andy Burrows.
The Wombats released their debut major studio album, A Guide to Love, Loss and Desperation, in 2007. It spawned four singles, including Moving to New York and Let’s Dance to Joy Division.
Since then, the trio has released five Top 10 albums and played at huge festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds Festival and Coachella.
The two headliners will be supported at their Margate gig by indie group Sunday (1994) and alt-rock band Talk Show.
Razorlight and The Wombats will be at Dreamland on Friday, August 22.
