See what the Glow Illumination Trail at Cobtree Manor Park looks like

It's seen elephants and lions over the years - but Cobtree Manor Park has never seen anything like this.

The park in Aylesford, once home to Maidstone Zoo, is now hosting its first after dark illumination trail from this week until New Year's Eve.

The trail is the debut event by Rainham-based immersive illumination events company, Glow Arts, featuring 2,500m of lights, and opened earlier this week.

Visitors were treated to a woodland trail through the park, which has been transformed into a twinkling wonderland with thousands of fairy lights, art installations and projections.

Street performers are on hand to guide visitors through the Fairy Village and Wonderland Walkway, stopping at the food market along the way to pick up treats and drinks.

There will also be stocking fillers to buy and lanterns made by local schoolchildren will also light the way.

There are sensory evenings for families who need a calmer experience.
