Tunbridge Wells: Black Deer Festival bringing Americana music and culture, comes to Kent

An Americana festival being staged in Kent for the first time brought acts from around the world to the county this weekend.

Black Deer Festival has been held at Eridge Park near Tunbridge Wells across the weekend, and featured more than 70 acts over six stages with Americana, blues, roots, country, folk and bluegrass genres.

Stars included Ashley Campbell, the daughter of country legend Glen Campbell, and film star turned musician Kiefer Sutherland and his band.

Audiences got into the spirit in Americana-style clothing and headwear, and the sun-soaked park was also filled with authentic Americana-style meats, smokey whiskeys, bespoke custom motorcycle showcases and rooted storytelling.

Organisers have pledged to stage the event again after the success of its inaugural year.
