Organisers hope to bring more than 100 of the best gins round the world, with talks, presentations and cocktail demonstrations, as well as live entertainment throughout the event.

In a statement, organisers said: "This is a prospective event as we're hoping to bring the Great British Gin Festival to Tunbridge Wells and Folkestone.

"Ticket price difference is purely down to demand, the sooner you buy your tickets the cheaper you get them."

They are urging gin lovers to pre-register for tickets.

Matthew Russell from ginmakers the Copper Rivet Distillery spoke to KMTV about the popularity about the drink.

A number of gin festivals have proved popular around the county. The Gin Society brought its festival to Canterbury in April, and the Ginfestival.com came to the Kent Event Centre in Maidstone in March.
