Thousands of vintage vehicles to be displayed at this year’s Heritage Transport Show at the Kent Event Centre in Detling

A transport show celebrating the world of classic cars and steam engines is back with a bang.

The Heritage Transport Show, which comes to the Kent Showground in Detling each spring, will bring together hundreds of vintage vehicles for this year’s event.

Petrolheads can browse the huge display of cars, motorcycles, tractors, steam, stationary engines, and commercial and military vehicles that date back decades.

The event, which will boast at least 1,000 different vehicles, also includes the South East Bus Festival.

This mini-festival, which has been a staple of the spring calendar since 2011, forms part of the show and will display a range of buses and coaches from across the southeast of England and beyond.

There will be activities for visitors, including a free bus ride from one of the on-site bus stops, live music and Lindy Hop dancers.

The show will also have an autojumble sale and farmers market, a children’s funfair and food and drink stalls.

The event is hosted by the Kent County Agricultural Society, the same organisation behind the incredibly popular Kent County Show.

This year’s Kent County Show will return to Detling in July, with three days of livestock, animal shows, dog agility courses, floral displays, fairground rides, local food producers, outdoor crafts, live music and gift stalls.

The Heritage Transport Show will be at the Kent Showground in Detling, near Maidstone, on Saturday, April 5 from 10am to 4pm. You can book tickets here.

Adult tickets cost £12 in advance and £15 on the day. Child tickets cost £2.
